What We Offer

Crowns & Bridges

Dental Crowns

A custom-made restoration that covers and protects an existing tooth — recommended when a tooth has been significantly weakened or damaged and a regular filling may no longer provide enough protection.

Dental Bridges

Replaces one or more missing teeth by placing a replacement tooth in the gap, supported by neighbouring teeth — helping restore your smile and everyday function.

  • A cracked, chipped or broken tooth

  • A tooth affected by extensive decay

Dr Ahalya will assess the tooth and discuss whether a crown or another treatment option is most suitable.

Why Replace a Missing Tooth?

  • Restore your ability to bite and chew
  • Improve the appearance of your smile
  • Support normal speech
  • Maintain your bite
  • Reduce unwanted movement of neighbouring teeth

We’ll assess your teeth, gums and bite before discussing whether a dental bridge is an appropriate option for you.

The Process

What Does Treatment Involve?

01

Consultation & Assessment

We’ll examine your teeth and discuss your concerns and treatment goals. Dental X-rays may be taken where necessary.

02

Preparing Your Tooth

For a crown or conventional bridge, the supporting tooth or teeth are carefully prepared to create space for the restoration.

03

Creating Your Restoration

Measurements or impressions of your teeth are taken so your crown or bridge can be custom-made to suit your bite and smile.

04

Fitting Your Restoration

Once ready, Dr Ahalya will check the fit, bite and appearance before securely placing your final restoration.

01

How Long Do They Last?

Lifespan varies depending on your oral health, bite, diet and habits such as teeth grinding. Regular check-ups, good brushing and flossing, and appropriate preventive care can help maintain your restoration.

02

Crowns After Root Canal

Teeth that have undergone root canal treatment can sometimes require additional protection, particularly back teeth. Dr Ahalya may recommend a crown to help protect and restore it.

Common Questions

We’ve got answers.

Often, yes — teeth that have had root canal treatment can become more brittle, so a crown helps protect and strengthen the tooth for the long term.

A crown covers and protects a single damaged or weakened tooth. A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring a false tooth to the adjacent natural teeth or crowns.

Pricing depends on the material and complexity of your case. Book a consultation and we’ll assess your tooth and provide an accurate cost estimate.

The procedure is done under local anaesthetic, so discomfort during treatment is minimal. Some sensitivity for a few days afterward is normal and settles quickly.
